As summer is nearing an end, I wanted to share this extended family session I did for my husband’s extended family! Who else is excited about all things fall? I’m doing fall mini-sessions again, so if you’re looking for beautiful fall photos, sign up here!
We went to Daybreak to take these photos, on a warm and sunny day. I was able to manage and made sure to shade my lens so everyone’s skin would look perfect. There were a lot of geese droppings everywhere, and the lake was behind us (we had to work with the sun’s direction). Overall, we made it work, and I am so excited about these pictures. Extended family photoshoots are so fun, and I like the challenge of ensuring that I get a good picture of everyone (which can sometimes be tricky with a large group).
The family got together for this photoshoot, which was amazing because they are scattered across the western states, from Wyoming to California. This was the first time they were able to get together in many years, and I’m honored I was able to capture the family to celebrate their dad retiring.
(Sidenote: milestones are always a great time to get photos taken, and I would love to be a part of that! If you have a milestone coming up soon, let’s chat!)
Overall, this was such a fun session, and despite the warm and sunny conditions, we got so many great photos. Let me know if you’re in the market for an extended family session! I would love to help out.
