Back in July, I took some absolutely gorgeous photos at the Mona Lavender Fields, and they definitely need a permanent spot on my blog. This session was with the Hickmon family: Shelby, her sisters, their daughters, and their mom. I’m so glad Shelby reached out to me! Shelby is childhood friends with someone I took pictures for last year in the Lavender fields.
I LOVE taking photos in the lavender fields; they are such a gorgeous backdrop, especially for this family of all girls. The lavender fields are only in bloom during July, and photographers’ appointments fill up quickly. They can be filled as early as March. We took these photos around 7 PM; the lighting was terrific. The little girl cousins were just over one year old, and they both loved exploring the lavender fields. By the end of the session, they warmed up to taking photos.
I loved that I was able to get these photos of these sweet little cousins with their grandma, and I hope these are photos that they will cherish forever! Can you even with their cute little ponytails?
This session was special, and I loved taking photos of Shelby and her sister together to create beautiful generational pictures. If you haven’t thought of taking a generational photo, please do. They don’t have to be fancy or professional to be meaningful! Generational photos are a great reflection of family heritage, and are a symbol of love and unity. These are the types of photos that families can keep forever to remember their family’s legacy and different stages of life. Let me know if you want to capture your family’s legacy, I would love to help!
Let me know if you want to get on my email list so you’ll be the first to know when I send out signups for the lavender fields next year! I would love to meet your family!
